Victoria Conway

Victoria qualified from The University of Nottingham with a BSC Hons in Physiotherapy in 2003.  She worked in University Hospitals of Leicester for 4 years where she gained invaluable experience during her general junior rotations and within 2 years she was promoted to the position of Specialist Physiotherapist within the field of neurology. 

In 2007 Victoria moved to London to work in the internationally renowned National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) where she held the post of Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist for 2 years and Highly Specialist Physiotherapist for 4 years.  NHNN is the UK's largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital.  It provides comprehensive services for the diagnosis, treatment and care of all conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nervous system and muscles.  Victoria has worked as a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist in their pioneering neuro-rehabilitation unit, which has given her invaluable experience in both the assessment and treatment of both common and of rare neurological conditions.  Victoria has had the privilege of working with some the world’s leading neurologists and neurosurgeons.  During her career at NHNN Victoria has held the post of lead Physiotherapist in the Motor Neurone Disease Clinic and Ataxia assessment clinics. 

Victoria completed her Basic Bobath Training in 2009 (4 month long modular specialist adult neurological rehabilitation course BBTA ) and she continues to use the Bobath concept within her clinical practice.  Victoria attends regular courses to enhance her clinical and management skills and whilst working at NHNN lead teaching sessions both formally and informally on physiotherapy assessment and treatment of neurological conditions.  Victoria has presented at the internationally renowned Vestibular course in London, on the assessment and treatment of vestibular conditions.

In addition to working in the NHS, Victoria has also worked privately  in the community and as a Neurological Physiotherapist in the Wellington Hospital in London.  Originally from Northern Ireland Victoria moved back with her family in 2014 where she established Neuro Rehab NI.
